The hessian cubic of the stelloid K037 is K958, a remarkable focal cubic with singular focus X(476), the radial center of K037. K958 is the locus of contacts of tangents drawn from X(476) to the circles passing through X(13), X(14). The polar conic of X(476) is the Hutson-Parry circle (HP) passing through X(2), X(13), X(14), X(111), X(476), X(5466), X(5640), X(6032), X(6792), X(7698) with center X(8371). (HP) is the Psi-transform of the Fermat axis (F) which is the orthic line of K958. The real asymptote of K958 is the homothetic of (F) under h(X476, 2). K958 meets the circumcircle again at three (not always all real) points on the cubic (K) = pK(X32, X476 x X647). See the analogous K874. |
